War...War never changes. In 2077 the world as we knew it changed forever. Nuclear fire filled the skies as the world was burnt. The world became twisted and demented, with hellish nightmares being birthed from the radiation. Once green and lush lands have now been turned into scorched wastelands. Few survived the bombs, and those who did were either turned into irradiated ghouls, or survived in man made "Vaults". Over time humanity tried to rebuild some semblance of civilization, with many attempts being squandered by various causes. Eventually man tapped into his primal instinct, with many resorting to many unorthodox methods to survive. Though there are civilized peoples and lands like the NCR and New Vegas, most of the world is full of savage killers and terrifying creatures. The Year is now 2290, 9 years after the catastrophic battle of Hoover Dam. The NCR and Caesar's Legion have both been pushed out of New Vegas. Both factions are still recovering after the loss, while still skirmishing over land in the Midwest. One of the last bastions of the NCR, Oregon, has been besieged by the Legion, who sought after its abundance of fertile land. Resources are starting to become more and more scarce, and the NCR and Legion are now getting desperate. Newer creatures are now spawning from the radiation, each more becoming stronger and more intelligent. The Remnant's of the army from the mutated Master, dubbed Super Mutants, are now also coming to Oregon, for food and the love of the fight. Criminal gangs are thriving now, with many average civilian's paying for protection from the war. The former United States government, now called "The Enclave" are also trying to take control of the state, as Oregon housed one of the U.S. military's biggest secret facilities. With the majors players vying for control, smaller factions, made by criminals, the prosperous, or even just average people, are now also popping up, with many remaining neutral, while some align themselves with the major factions. Humanity is no longer the alpha species, and is at risk of going extinct.
